Catholic Publications say John F. Kennedy's Belief in Separation of Church and State "was wrong" and "is worthless"

A startling indicator of how we have changed dramatically as a nation in the last 60 years can be seen in this fascinating four-part video of candidate elect John F. Kennedy in 1960 as he tries to reassure voters of his loyalty to the United States over the pope. The questions Kennedy faced from a group of Protestant ministers in Houston, Texas, no Catholic candidate would face today.  Fear of the papacy's intentions seems all but non-existent among the electorate at large.  Times have changed!  To those who know Bible prophecy, the thickenings signs are a sure admonition to "watch and be ready."  "A storm is coming, relentless in its fury. Are we prepared to meet it?"  8T 315.  "The work of the people of God is to prepare for the events of the future, which will soon come upon them with blinding force."  SM2 142.

America's character and principles are so altered since 1960 that Catholic's publications can boldly proclaim that president Kennedy was wrong, and his loyalty to the Constitution, "worthless." Further, that Kennedy's speech in Houston caused serious damage.  Source

The archbishop of Denver, Charles J. Chaput returned to Houston on March 1st and told a Baptist conference on the role of Christians in public life that, "We live in a country that was once – despite its sins and flaws – deeply shaped by Christian faith. It can be so again. But we will do that together, or we won’t do it at all."   Source
